Essential, Standard or Premium? Bathroom Packages Compared

Tiles, waterproofing, shower, vanity and optional upgrades: how our Essential, Standard and Premium bathroom renovation packages differ in scope.

Essential, Standard or Premium? Bathroom Packages Compared

When you start planning a bathroom renovation, the hardest question is often not "how much?" but "what exactly do I get?" Two quotations at similar prices can cover very different work. Our three packages exist to make that comparison easier: each one sets out a clear scope and an indicative price range, so you can see where your plans fit before anyone visits the site.

Below, we walk through what each package includes, who it tends to suit and what still has to be confirmed in your quotation.

The three packages at a glance

  • Essential: RM5,000 – RM8,000
  • Standard: RM8,000 – RM15,000
  • Premium: RM15,000 – RM30,000+

These ranges are estimates. The actual price depends on your bathroom's size, the materials you choose and the scope of work, and is set out in a written, itemised quotation after a site visit. Each quotation covers materials, labour, waterproofing and cleanup.

Essential: a sound, practical refresh

The Essential package is for bathrooms that need to be put right rather than reimagined. It typically includes:

  • basic tile replacement
  • standard fixtures, such as a basin and toilet
  • basic waterproofing
  • standard plumbing

Who it suits

Rental units being prepared for new tenants, a second bathroom that sees light use, or an owner who mainly wants tired tiles and fittings replaced with a clean, functional result.

Standard: a fuller upgrade for daily comfort

The Standard package raises the level of finish and adds the pieces most households end up wanting anyway. It typically includes:

  • premium porcelain tiles
  • quality fixtures and fittings
  • a full waterproofing membrane
  • a shower screen
  • a rain shower head
  • a vanity cabinet

Who it suits

The main bathroom in a family home, or anyone who wants a proper shower enclosure and built-in storage without moving into custom design. Compared with Essential, the biggest differences are the full waterproofing membrane under the new finish and the shower screen and vanity being part of the scope rather than extras.

Premium: designer finishes and optional upgrades

The Premium package is for owners who want the bathroom designed around them. It typically includes:

  • designer tiles and natural stone
  • premium branded fixtures, with brands confirmed in your quotation
  • a frameless glass shower screen
  • a custom vanity and mirror cabinet
  • full electrical rewiring
  • an underfloor heating option
  • a smart toilet option

Who it suits

Owners renovating a master bathroom in a home they plan to stay in, or anyone whose existing wiring needs replacing anyway. The range is open-ended at the top because stone, custom joinery and optional upgrades vary widely in cost.

How the scopes compare, item by item

Tiles

Essential replaces tiles with a basic option; Standard moves to premium porcelain; Premium opens up designer tiles and natural stone. If you plan to supply your own tiles, that can be accommodated, and the quotation will reflect it.

Waterproofing

Essential includes basic waterproofing. Standard specifies a full waterproofing membrane. In Premium, waterproofing is part of the full rebuild scope and is detailed in the quotation.

Shower

Essential does not include a shower screen. Standard includes one, plus a rain shower head. Premium specifies a frameless glass screen.

Vanity and storage

Essential covers a standard basin. Standard adds a vanity cabinet. Premium includes a custom vanity with a mirror cabinet.

Electrical and comfort options

Only Premium includes full electrical rewiring, along with the option of underfloor heating and a smart toilet.

When a single service makes more sense

Not every project needs a package. If your bathroom is in good shape apart from one problem, a single service may be enough: for example, waterproofing from RM1,500 per job, a shower screen from RM800 per installation or a bathtub to shower conversion from RM3,500 per project. See the full list in our services section, or compare the packages side by side.

What happens before the price is final

Hidden issues, such as damaged pipes behind a wall, cannot always be seen before work begins. If anything like this is found, it is photographed and priced for your approval before work continues. Work starts only after you accept the quotation and pay the agreed deposit.

Owners in Shah Alam, Seremban, Kota Kinabalu and across Malaysia can enquire. Site-visit availability for your town is confirmed on WhatsApp, and for Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak project schedules are confirmed per location.
