Our bathroom looks fine after past floods. Is there any reason to check it?
Damage is not always visible. Floodwater can weaken the layer under tiles or affect pipes over time. If you are planning a renovation anyway, mention the flood history so the site visit can check beneath the surface before the quotation is finalised.
Can you raise the bathroom floor level during renovation?
Floor levels and drainage can be reviewed as part of a full renovation. Whether raising the floor is practical depends on the doorway, pipes and adjoining rooms. The site visit assesses it, and any change is itemised in the quotation.
Can I renovate in stages to spread the cost?
Yes. Work can be split, for example plumbing and waterproofing first, then tiling and fixtures later. Each stage can be quoted separately, and no work starts without your accepted quotation and agreed deposit.
